Baked Stuffed Shrimp Recipe
Baked stuffed shrimps are prepared with jumbo shrimps or lobster shrimps. Stuffed with a mix of crabmeat and breadcrumbs with milk and eggs, the baked stuffed shrimps are made savory with added worcestershire sauce, mustard, tabasco sauce and mayonnaise. served as a side with meals, it is filling and a real treat for seafood lovers!
Ingredients
| 1 pound extra jumbo or lobster shrimp | ||
| Milk | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Bread crumbs | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Paprika | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Lump crab meat | 1 pound | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Tabasco sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Mustard | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Mayonnaise | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 slices white bread, cubed into small pieces | ||
| Onion | 1 Medium | |
| Green pepper | 1/2 To taste, finely chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Shell uncooked shrimp; leave tail shell on.
Split shrimp down back; spread apart, butterfly fashion.
Dip uncooked shrimp into milk and egg mixture.
Next dip in bread crumbs and paprika mixture.
Combine crab meat, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, Tabasco sauce, mustard, mayonnaise, and bread cubes.
Saute onion and green pepper in 2 tablespoons melted butter; add to crab meat mixture.
Firmly stuff breaded shrimp with crab meat mixture.
Place shrimp, tail-side-up, on greased, shallow baking dish.
Baste with butter.
Bake in 400°F oven 30 to 40 minutes, until brown.
