Baked Puff Sandwiches Recipe
Ingredients
1 can (12 ounces) pork luncheon meat
2 tablespoons bottled sandwich spread
8 slices slightly dry bread, buttered and crusts removed
3 eggs
2 cups milk
1 small onion, grated
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
Directions
Break up meat with fork; mix with sandwich spread; spread between bread slices to make four sandwiches; halve diagonally; arrange in single layer in shallow baking dish, 11x7x2.
Beat eggs slightly in small bowl; blend in milk, onion and mustard; spoon over sandwiches; chill for at least 1 hour.
Bake in moderate oven (350°) about 45 minutes, or until top is puffed and golden; serve at once.
