Baked Pears Recipe
Baked pears are a simple yet fulfilling dessert that can be prepared in the oven. Simply baked with sugar, they can be served as such or with whipped cream as a summer dessert.

In 2 quart casserole put 2 tablespoons lemon juice and enough water to cover bottom.
Add 6 medium fresh pears pared; cover and bake in moderate oven (375°) 20 to 25 minutes or until tender.
Remove from oven.
Sprinkle each pear with 1 to 2 teaspoons sugar; bake uncovered 10 minutes longer to glaze.
Serve warm or chilled.
Top with whipped cream and chocolate decorettes, if desired.
