Baked Kraut Unchops With Apples Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 loin pork chops, cut about 1 in. thick | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Sauerkraut | 2 Cup (16 tbs), undrained | |
| 1/2 cup seedless raisins, plumped | ||
| Onions | 12 Small, canned | |
| 2 unpared apples, cored and cut in wedges | ||
Directions
Brown the chops on both sides in a large skillet.
Season chops with half of the salt and pepper.
Meanwhile, toss a mixture of brown sugar and the remaining salt and pepper with the sauerkraut.
Mix in raisins, onions, and apples.
Turn sauerkraut mixture into a shallow baking dish.
Top with chops, slightly overlapping.
Bake, covered, at 350°F about 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
