Baked Hominy Dessert Recipe
Ingredients
1 qt. milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, cut in pieces
1 cup long cooking hominy grits
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Heat the milk to boiling.
Add the butter, then gradually add the hominy grits, stirring constantly.
Bring to boiling and boil 3 minutes, or until mixture becomes thick, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add the salt; beat at high speed of an electric mixer 5 minutes, or until grits have a creamy appearance.
Turn into a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake at 350°F 1 hour or until lightly browned.
