Baked Halibut With Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

 Mushrooms12 Large
 Onion1 Small
 Dry bread crumbs1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Melted butter1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
 Lemon juice3 Tablespoon
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Pepper1⁄8 Teaspoon
 Canned shrimp12 Small
 Halibut steaks6
 Sour cream1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Paprika To Taste

Directions

Heat oven to 325 degrees.
Butter a large shallow baking dish about 13 X 9 1/2 x 2 inches.
Remove stems from mushrooms and trim underneath caps to make open cups to hold stuffing.
Chop stems very finely.
Combine mushroom stems, onion and bread crumbs in a small bowl.
Combine butter, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Add about half of the butter mixture to the crumb mixture.
Fill mushroom cups with some of crumb mixture, piling it quite high.
Top each cup with a shrimp.
Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over bottom of prepared baking dish.
Lay halibut steaks on top of crumbs and put mushrooms, filled side up, around steaks.
Pour remaining melted butter mixture over steaks and into mushrooms.
Put a small dab of sour cream on top of each mushroom and spread remaining cream over steaks to cover them completely.
Bake 30 minutes or until steaks flake easily with a fork.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Serve immediately.
