Ingredients

 Grits1 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Boiling water3 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter/Margarine1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cheddar Cheese2 Cup (16 tbs), grated
 Black pepper1/8 Teaspoon
 4 eggs, lightly beaten

Directions

Add grits and salt to boiling water; cook over medium heat until thick, about 12 to 15 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add margarine,1 1/2 cups cheese, pepper and eggs; mix thoroughly.
Pour into1 1/2 quart baking dish;sprinkle top with remaining cheese.
Bake in preheated 350° F oven 20 minutes.
Serve piping hot.
