| Grits | 1 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Boiling water | 3 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cheddar Cheese | 2 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| Black pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 4 eggs, lightly beaten | ||
Directions
Add grits and salt to boiling water; cook over medium heat until thick, about 12 to 15 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add margarine,1 1/2 cups cheese, pepper and eggs; mix thoroughly.
Pour into1 1/2 quart baking dish;sprinkle top with remaining cheese.
Bake in preheated 350° F oven 20 minutes.
Serve piping hot.
