Baked Date Pudding Recipe
A truly magical recipe for Baked Date Pudding not only looks nice but also tastes great! Serve this tasty Dessert as often as you like! In my opinion, if one is a chef, one ought to have a personal recipe of Baked Date Pudding, just like I do.
Ingredients
3/4 cup boiling water
1 cup pitted dates, cut up
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup orange marmalade
1 3/4 cups sifted enriched flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 cup chopped California walnuts
Directions
Pour water over dates and butter.
Combine egg, brown sugar, and marmalade; stir into date mixture.
Sift together dry ingredients; stir into date mixture till just moistened.
Add nuts.
Pour into greased 11x7x11/2 inch baking dish.
Bake in moderate oven (350°) about 30 minutes.
Cut in 9 or 10 squares; serve warm with Hard Sauce
