Baked Cheese Fondue Recipe
Believe me when I say that you must try this Baked Cheese Fondue. Popularly served as a Dessert, the Canadian Baked Cheese Fondue is liked by one and all. In my estimation, if one is a chef, one needs to have a personal recipe of Baked Cheese Fondue, just like I do.
Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat bread, cut in 1 /2-inch cubes
1 cup grated cheese
2 cups milk
2 eggs
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 teaspoons salt, Pinch pepper
Directions
Grease casserole.
Arrange bread cubes in layers with grated cheese between, ending with bread on top.
Beat milk, eggs, butter or margarine and seasonings together; pour mixture over bread.
Let stand about 20 minutes.
Set casserole in pan containing hot water to at least 1-inch depth.
Bake in 350°F. oven 35â€â€40 minutes.
