Ingredients

 Barley225 Gram
 Butter75 Gram
 Onion1 , chopped
 Mushrooms225 Gram, sliced
 Vegetable stock500 Milliliter
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

1 Soak the barley for 2 hours in warm water.
Drain.
2 Preheat the oven to 180°C, 350°F,gas4.
3 Heat the butter in a frying pan (skillet) and saute the onion, mushrooms and barley.
Season with salt and pepper and stir until the barley has browned slightly.
4 Place in a casserole and add the vegetable stock.
5 Cover and bake for1 hour until the barley is cooked, but is still slightly crunchy
