Baked Tomato Slices With Cheese And Basil Leaves Recipe
Ingredients
| 16 tomato slices, large red and thick | ||
| 1 1/2 cups grated strong cheese | ||
| Basil leaves | 20 | |
| 20 onion rings, large and thick | ||
| Black pepper | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| 3-4 tbsps. olive oil, failing which peanut oil | ||
| Sugar | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Arrange the tomato slices in a baking tray greased with olive oil. Sprinkle salt and crush the basil leaves and sprinkle them also over the tomato slices. Sprinkle pinches of sugar over the tomatoes. Drizzle some oil over them. Top with grated cheese and pop into an already hot oven. Bake at 380°F (°C) until golden and brown.
