Baked Tilefish With Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients
4 small tilefish steaks, each 1 inch thick
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Salt
6 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 pound medium-sized mushrooms
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
2 tablespoons chopped chives
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13" by 9" baking dish; place tilefish steaks in dish. Sprinkle with pepper and 1/2 teaspoon salt; bake 10 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot butter or margarine, cook mushrooms, stirring frequently, until tender. Stir in lemon juice, Worcestershire, mustard, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Spoon mushroom mixture over fish steaks. Sprinkle with chives.
3. Bake 10 to 15 minutes longer, until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, basting steaks occasionally with liquid in baking dish
