Baked Spare Ribs With Rice Recipe

 Spareribs2 1⁄2 Pound
 Butter1 Teaspoon (for greasing)
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Freshly ground pepper To Taste
 Cornstarch1 Tablespoon
 Brown sugar1 Tablespoon
 Burgundy wine1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Crushed pineapple with juice1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Soy sauce1 Tablespoon
 Hot cooked rice3 Cup (48 tbs)


Have spareribs cut into serving-size sections.
Arrange meaty side up in a large shallow baking pan.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake in a 350° F.oven for 1 hour.
Mean while mix cornstarch with sugar in a small saucepan.
Add wine, pineapple and soy sauce and bring to a boil, stirring.
Spoon rice into a shallow buttered casserole.
Arrange spareribs on top.
Spoon half of sauce over spareribs and rice.
Continue baking 15 minutes.
Spoon over remaining sauce and bake 15 minutes longer.
