Baked Rice Deluxe Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking rice, uncooked | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Frozen chopped spinach package | 1 | |
| 1 (5-ounce) jar sharp process cheese spread | ||
| Cream and mushroom soup | 1 Can (10oz), undiluted | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Combine onion and butter in 2-quart casserole.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave at HIGH 3 minutes.
Stir after 2 minutes.
Add rice, salt, and water.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave at HIGH 3 minutes.
Let stand, covered.
Pierce spinach package with a fork and place on paper plate.
Microwave spinach at HIGH 5 minutes, or until thawed.
Drain well.
Add to rice mixture.
Stir in cheese.
Mix well.
Stir in soup and nutmeg.
Microwave at MEDIUM 4 to 6 minutes.
Let stand several minutes before serving.

Microwave at HIGH 3 minutes.
Stir after 2 minutes.
