Scrape out seeds and stringy portion.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Arrange, cut side down, in greased baking pan.
Add a small amount of water.
Bake in preheated hot oven (400°F.) for 30 minutes.
Turn, brush again with butter, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Bake for 30 minutes longer, or until tender, brushing occasionally with butter.
With fork, mash in shell; serve.
