Directions

1. Core pears, being careful not to cut through bottoms. Peel a small strip around top of each pear. Set pears, stem-side up, in a 9" x 5" loaf dish.
2. Spoon raisins into center of each pear. Mound brown sugar on pears. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Drizzle with bourbon or apple juice. Cover with vented plastic wrap.
3. Microwave at 100% (high) 5 to 6 minutes or until almost tender; give dish a half turn after 3 minutes. Let stand, covered, 10 minutes. Spoon pan juices over apples. Serve with ice cream or cream and additional cinnamon, if desired.
