Ingredients

 Bread slice6
 Butter
 Cheddar Cheese1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), grated
 Eggs3
 Milk3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Onion1 Large, chopped
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

MAKING
1. Trim crusts off bread and butter each slice liberally.
2. Make 1 -inch squares out of the bread, place in a buttered casserole sprinkling the cheese evenly on the bread.
3. In a bowl beat together the eggs, milk, seasonings and onion and pour over cheese.
4. Let it bake in a moderate oven for 40 minutes such that set and golden brown.

SERVING
5. Serve as a luncheon or supper dish with a green salad.
