Baked Nut Crust Recipe

FOR 8-INCH PIE SHELL:
1 cup blanched almonds, Brazil nuts, peanuts, pecans, or walnuts, finely ground
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
FOR 9-INCH PIE SHELL:
1 1/2 cups blanched almonds, Brazil nuts, peanuts, pecans, or walnuts, finely ground
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons butter or margarine softened
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. In pie plate or small bowl, mix all ingredients well. With hand, press mixture onto bottom and up side of pie plate.
2. Bake 8 minutes or just until golden. Cool on rack. Fill as recipe directs or with chilled pie filling.
