Baked Macaroni with Tomatoes Recipe
Ingredients
| Macaroni | 1/4 Pound | |
| 2 tablesp. -butter, margarine, fat, or salad oil | ||
| Onion | 1 Medium, sliced | |
| 1 tablesp. minced green pepper | ||
| 1/2 teasp. bottled thick meat sauce | ||
| Canned tomatoes | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Speck pepper | ||
| Processed cheese | 1/8 Pound, grated | |
Directions
Cook and drain macaroni as in Boiled Macaroni, then arrange in a 1 qt casserole.
Melt butter in a skillet, add the onion, green pepper, and meat sauce, and simmer until partially tender—about 5 min.
Then add tomatoes, salt, and pepper and heat.
Pour over macaroni, toss well to mix; then sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Bake in moderately hot oven of 400°F for about 20 min or until cheese melts.
