Baked Lamb Shanks Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 large lamb shanks well trimmed of fat | ||
| 1 cup garbanzo sprouts | ||
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Onions | 2 Medium, chopped | |
| Lemon juice | 1 | |
| Parsley | 3 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Mint | 1 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Tomatoes | 2 , peeled | |
| Dry vermouth | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°.
Place lamb shanks in 2 qt.baking dish.
Sprinkle sprouts over shanks.
Pour over all ingredients.
Cover tightly.
Roast for 2 hours.
Remove lamb shanks and reduce sauce by boiling hard until it thickens.
Taste for seasoning and pour over lamb shanks.
Sprinkle with additional parsley.
