Baked Halibut With Limas Recipe
Ingredients
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), mashed | |
| Onion | 1 Small, finely chopped | |
| Sliced mushrooms | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Tomatoes | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Worcestershire | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 teaspoon thyme Pepper | ||
| Lima beans package | 1 , frozen | |
| 2 pounds halibut fillets or steaks, cut 3/4 inch thick | ||
Directions
Saute garlic, onion, and mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes; add flour and blend until smooth.
Add tomatoes, vinegar, Worcestershire, salt, thyme, and dash of pepper; stirring, cook until slightly thickened.
Place frozen limas in tomato sauce, and cook just until beans are separated, about 5 minutes.
Arrange fish in single layer in greased baking pan (about 9 by 13 inches); pour over tomato and lima bean sauce.
Cover and bake in hot oven (400°) for 30 minutes, or until fish flakes with fork.
Makes 6 servings.
