Baked Fish, Cheese and Spinach Recipe
Ingredients
| Cooked | 3 Cup (16 tbs), drained | |
| Fish fillets | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| Dry mustard | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Paprika | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 1 c. grated processed American Cheddar cheese | ||
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| 2 tablesp. flour | ||
| 1 tablesp. butter, margarine, fat, or salad oil | ||
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 teasp. bottled thick meat sauce | ||
| 1 c bottled milk or 1/2 c. evaporated milk and 1/2 c. water | ||
Directions
Arrange spinach in a large, shallow, greased baking dish.
Arrange fish fillets over spinach and sprinkle with the mustard, 1/2 teasp of the salt, sugar, and paprika combined.
Bake in a moderate oven of 350ºF for 30 min.
Meanwhile combine cheese, egg, flour, butter, pepper, meat sauce, and remaining 3/4 teasp salt in a double boiler.
Gradually add milk and cook over boiling water until smooth and thickened, stirring constantly.
Pour sauce over fish and brown under the broiler.
