Baked Fish Recipe
Ingredients
| Scallions | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1 green pepper, seeded and diced | ||
| 1 carrot, finely diced | ||
| 1 tomato, peeled and chopped | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| 1 tablespoon snipped fresh dill weed | ||
| 2 halibut or cod steaks (each 3/4 inch thick) | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Plain yogurt | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine the scallions, green pepper, carrot, tomato, salt and pepper to taste, and dill. Spread half the mixture in the bottom of an oiled baking dish.
3. Put fish on top, season with salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle with lemon juice. Cover with remaining vegetable mixture. Pour the water over all and dot with the butter. Cover tightly and bake for 25 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily.
4. Spread the yogurt over the top of dish and return to the oven just long enough to warm the yogurt, about 4 minutes.
