Baked Custard Recipe
Baked Custard is a tasty and irresistible Irish dessert. I am pretty fond of this dish not only because its tasty but also because it is one of the first desserts I cooked for my husband after our marriage. Try this Baked Custard recipe.
Ingredients
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups milk
2 egg yolks
1 fresh bay leaf
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon butter
Directions
Beat the eggs and egg yolks with the sugar.
Scald the milk and pour on the egg mixture while beating.
Add the bay leaf.
Pour into a buttered dish.
Dot here and there with the butter.
Stand the dish in a larger dish containing 1 inch of water and bake at 350° until firm in the center.
Remove bay leaf before serving.
