Baked Coffee Custard Recipe

Ingredients
2 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee powder
Dash salt
1 1/2 cups scalded milk
Whipped cream
Slivered almonds, toasted
Directions
Beat eggs slightly.
Add sugar, coffee powder, and salt; mix well.
Gradually stir in milk.
Fill four 5-ounce custard cups; set in a shallow pan on oven rack.
Pour hot water around cups in pan to depth of 1 inch.
Bake custards at 325° till knife inserted just off-center comes out clean, 45 to 50 minutes.
Remove custards from pan of hot water; serve warm or chill till serving time. (To unmold chilled custard, first loosen edge; then slip point of knife down side to let air in Invert.) At serving time, top with dollop of whipped cream and toasted almonds.
