Baked Chocolate Custard Recipe
Baked Chocolate Custard is my favorite dessert. I love the aroma of the freshly baked Baked Chocolate Custard and I serve it often, especially for my children's birthday parties. Try it for yourself, I am sure you will love the Baked Chocolate Custard!
Ingredients
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate pieces | ||
| 3 slightly beaten eggs | ||
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Whipped cream | ||
| Slivered almonds, toasted | ||
Directions
In saucepan combine milk and chocolate pieces; stir over low heat till chocolate melts.
Cool slightly.
In mixing bowl combine eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt; gradually stir in chocolate mixture.
Pour into six 5-ounce custard cups; set in shallow pan on oven rack.
Pour hot water around cups in pan to depth of 1 inch.
Bake at 325° till knife inserted just off-center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes.
Invert custards onto serving dishes; garnish with whipped cream and toasted almonds.
