Baked Cheese Macaroni Recipe
Ingredients
| Macaroni or spaghetti, 150 gms | ||
| Bread crumbs | 1 Tablespoon, buttered | |
| Butter, 2 to 3 tablespoons | ||
| Flour, 3 to 4 tablespoons | ||
| Milk | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (For white sauce :) | |
| Tomato slices to garnish | ||
| Cheese | 100 Gram, grated (For white sauce :) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Cook macaroni in boiling salted water.
Drain and rinse with cold water.
Drain again.
Prepare white sauce accordingly.
Combine macaroni and white sauce.
Place in a greased oven proof or stainless steel casserole dish.
Top with crumbs.
Bake in moderate oven (195°C) about 20 to 25 minutes or until browned.
During the last 10 minutes of baking, take casserole out from the oven, sprinkle some grated cheese and arrange tomato slices.
Dot with a teaspoon butter.
Return to the oven and bake for 10 minutes more.
Drain and rinse with cold water.
Drain again.
Prepare white sauce accordingly.
Combine macaroni and white sauce.
