Baked Canadian Bacon Recipe
Ingredients
| 1- or 2-pound piece of Canadian bacon | ||
| 8 or 10 whole cloves | ||
| Brown sugar | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
1. Boil the Canadian bacon at the rate of 1/2 hour per pound in hot water to cover. Drain, remove casing if any.
2. Start oven, set at Moderate, 350° F.
3. Place the boiled bacon in a shallow baking pan, stud the top and sides with the cloves, inserting them at intervals of about 1/2 inch. Sprinkle all over with a mixture of the brown sugar and dry mustard.
4. Bake 1 hour. The meat will shrink somewhat in cooking. One pound makes 3 or 4 servings.
