Baked Beets Recipe
This baked beets recipe is a herbed recipe. Seasoned to taste, the cooked beets are served with a sprinking of snipped fresh dill for a lovely and delicious side.
Ingredients
6 medium size beets scrubbed, with tops trimmed
1 tablespoon unsalted margarine
2 teaspoons snipped fresh dill
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Wrap each beet in aluminum foil.
Place the beets on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour or until fork tender.
Remove from the oven.
When the beets have cooled, unwrap and peel off the skins.
Cut into wedges.
In a 12 inch skillet, melt the margarine over moderate heat; add the beets, toss, and heat through about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with the dill.
