Baked Beef And Noodles Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pkg. frozen chopped spinach cooked and drained | ||
| Mung bean sprouts | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 lb. lean chopped chuck | ||
| Dry bread crumbs | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Parmesan cheese | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Grated rind of 1/2 lemon | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| Mix above ingredients all together and set aside. | ||
| Shallots | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Flour | 4 Tablespoon | |
| 2 cups beef bouillon | ||
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Noodles | 8 Ounce | |
| Tomato sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chives | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese | ||
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Heat butter in saucepan and saute shallots for 5 minutes, stirring.
Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
Add bouillon and milk and cook, stirring, until thickened.
Butter a 2 1/2 qt. casserole.
Layer ingredients as follows: 1/2 the noodles on bottom, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, 4 tbsp. chives, 1/2 meat mixture, 1/2 white sauce.
Repeat ending with white sauce.
Sprinkle grated cheese over top.
Bake for 30 minutes.
