Baked Apples With Bourbon Recipe
Ingredients
| 4-6 medium Winesap apples, Mcintosh, Roman Beauty, or any baking apples in season | ||
| Juice of 1/2 lemon | ||
| 1 cup light brown sugar, packed | ||
| Butter | 4 Tablespoon, melted | |
| Bourbon | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Cream, whipped cream, or sour cream | ||
Directions
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Core each apple and peel around top about one-third of the way down from stem.
Dip tops in lemon juice.
Place in shallow baking dish or pan.
Mix sugar and melted butter.
Pour 1 tablespoon bourbon into each apple cavity.
Bake at 375° F for 45-50 minutes.
Halfway through baking, spoon glaze over apples.
Test apples with fork for tenderness in 45-50 minutes.
