Baked Apples Recipe
Baked Apples has a mouth watering taste. Baked Apples gets its taste from apples, flavored with cinnamon and topped with nuts. Baked Apples are inspired by many restaurants across the world.
Ingredients
4 large baking apples, peeled and cored
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon butter or margarine
1/2 cup apple juice
Red food coloring (optional)
Directions
Place apples in an 8 inch square baking dish.
Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg; spoon about 1 tablespoon sugar mixture into cavity of each apple.
Top each with 1 teaspoon butter.
Bring apple juice to a boil; add food coloring, if desired.
Pour juice into baking dish.
Cover and bake at 400° for 25 to 35 minutes, basting occasionally with juice.
