6 bagels
 
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
 
Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

Cut bagels into 1/4-inch slices using a serrated knife, place on baking sheet.
Spread butter on bagels, sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.
Bake at 300° for 20 minutes or until bagels are lightly browned and crisp.
Remove bagels to a wire rack to cool.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
