Badi ki Subzi Recipe
Ingredients
| Badi | 8 Medium (Badis are dried balls made of ground urad dal and grated cucumber.) | |
| Jambu | 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Jambu is an aromatic herb found in higher altitudes of Himalayas) | |
| Red chilies | 2 Medium | |
| Turmeric powder | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Coriander powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Garam masala | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
| Salt | To Taste |
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry badis till golden brown and set aside.
MAKING
2. Take one tablespoonful of heated oil in a kadai and add jambu and whole red chillies to it.
3. Allow to fry and then add badis, water, turmeric powder and coriander powder.
4. Cook covered for some time, till all the water is absorbed and only dry badis remain. The badis should be soft.
5. Garnish with garam masala.

Serve hot as side dish for any pahari meal.
