Badam Ka Halwa Recipe

I always love to make Badam Halwa because of its exotic taste and level of easiness. My hubby and I have this halwa 2-3 times a week. You cant eat the halwa at once, but its deliciousness will entice you to have it in small amounts frequently!

Ingredients

 
1 cup Badam
 
1 1/4 cups Sugar
 
1 cup Milk
 
1/2 cup Ghee
 
2 drops Kesar Color
 
Chopped Almonds (optional)
 
Broken Cashews (optional)

Directions

Soak the almonds in warm water for 3 hours.
Remove the outer skin of the almonds and grind to a paste with the milk.
Make sugar syrup and boil till it reaches a one string consistency.
Add the badam paste and cook till it thickens.
Add the kesar colour.
Add ghee little by little stirring continuously on low heat.
Serve hot, garnished with almonds and cashew nuts.
