Ingredients

 
2 cups homemade or packaged biscuit mix
 
2 tbsp granulated sugar 25 mL
 
1 egg
 
2/3 cup cold water or milk 50 mL
 
6 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled (about1/4 cup [50 mL])

Directions

In a large bowl, combine biscuit mix, sugar, egg and water.
With a fork, beat vigorously for 1 minute.
Stir in bacon, mixing just until blended.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, filling cups two-thirds full.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
