Directions

Cook prawns in enough boiling water to cover until they turn pink (about 5 minutes).
Drain and cool; shell and devein.
Cook bacon strips in a frying pan over medium heat just until limp; drain and cut each slice in half crosswise.
Stir together garlic and chile sauce until well blended.
Dip each prawn into sauce to coat, wrap in half strip of bacon, and secure with a wooden pick. (At this point you may cover and refrigerate until next day.)
To cook, place appetizers on a broiler pan or on a rack set over a shallow baking pan.
Broil 6 inches below a preheated broiler unit, turning once, until bacon is crisp (about 5 minutes).
Serve hot.
