Bacon Topped Clams Recipe

Ingredients
3 thick slices bacon
2 dozen littleneck clams on the half shell
Directions
1. Line dinner plate with double thickness of paper towels; arrange bacon in 1 layer on paper towels; cover with another paper towel. Cook at high (100% power) 3 minutes or until bacon slices are well browned and crisp. With kitchen shears, cut each slice crosswise into 4 pieces.
2. Meanwhile, rinse each clam on half shell in a bowl of cold water to remove any sand; loosen each clam from shell with tip of sharp knife.
3. Arrange 2 clams on each of 12 half shells; discard remaining shells. Then arrange clams on shells around the edge of a 13" by 9" baking dish; top each with a piece of cooked bacon. Cover dish with waxed paper. Cook at high 1 to 2 minutes, just until clams are heated through.
