Ingredients

 Crust
 1 lb. cooked lean bacon, minced
 Tomato puree1 Can (10oz)
 Breadcrumbs4 Ounce
 1 small onion, chopped pepper
 Green pepper2 Ounce, chopped
 6 oz. cooked Patna rice
 Tomato puree1 Can (10oz) (Filling)
 6 oz. Swiss Gruyere cheese, grated
 Seasoning
 Parsley sprig

Directions

Mix crust ingredients together, knead well and press into the bottom of a 9-inch pie tin, making a fluted edge all round.
To make the filling combine rice, tomato puree, 3 oz.
of the cheese; seasoning and spoon into the bacon shell.
Cover with greaseproof paper.
Bake in centre of a moderate oven (375°F - Gas Mark 4) for 15 minutes.
Remove paper, sprinkle over remaining cheese and place under the grill to brown lightly.
Garnish with a sprig of parsley.
