Backburner Barbecue Sauce For Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
| 14 oz tomato catsup | ||
| Onions | 2 , chopped | |
| 2 bell peppers, seeded and chopped | ||
| Garlic | 12 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Chili | 6 Small, minced | |
| 1 tbl crushed dried hot chiles | ||
| Brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Distilled vinegar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Italian herbs | 1 Tablespoon, dried | |
| 1 tsp liquid smoke flavoring | ||
Directions
1. Puree all the sauce ingredients in a blender. Put into a saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until the sauce is thick and glossy (approximately 15-20 minutes).
3. Use at once or store for up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator, in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
