Directions

Stage 1-Cream butter and sugar.

Stage 2-In separate dish mix eggs and sour cream.

Stage 3-Beat vigorously; add vanilla.

Stage 4-Then add dry ingredients to butter and sugar, alternating with eggs and cream mixture.

Stage 5-Grease pan. Put in half the batter, then a layer of filling.

Stage 6-Put remaining batter and place rest of filling on top.

Stage 7-Bake at 375 degrees fareinhite for 60 minutes.

baked the babka today & loved it very very much,im attracted like a beehive to all things jew & was so so happy & thrilled to find that the type of cake i had in mind actually had jewish origins & i didn even know it excisted!!! Will be posting all about my expeirience on both my blogs but havent clicked pics yet so its on hold...........but cant explain how much this cake is v v v *777 special to me! Shalom
