Autumn Spice Squares Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Unsweetened applesauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vegetable oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 egg, lightly beaten | ||
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Crushed pineapple | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Semi-sweet chocolate | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
| Powdered sugar | 2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Combine first 7 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; make a well in center of mixture.
Combine applesauce, sugar, oil, egg, and vanilla; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Stir in pineapple and chocolate morsels.
Spoon batter into a 13x9x2-inch pan coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool completely on a wire rack.
Sift powdered sugar over cooled cake.
