Aunt Loretta's Fudge Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs) | |
| Vegetable oil | 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Flour | 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs) | |
| Baking cocoa | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Buttermilk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Boiling water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Cocoa frosting | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Fluffy) |
Directions
Combine the sugar, vegetable oil and eggs in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth.
Sift the flour, baking cocoa and salt together.
Add to the egg mixture alternately with the buttermilk, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the vanilla.
Stir in a mixture of the boiling water and baking soda.
Pour the batter into a greased and floured bundt pan or 9x13 inch cake pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until cake tests done.
Spread Fluffy Cocoa frosting over the cooled cake.
