Auld Lang Syne Casserole Recipe
The auld lang syne casserole is a mixed holiday flavored casserole prepared with chicken broth cooked celery and rice with mayo, almonds and chicken soup. Baked with cornflake crust, the auld lang syne casserole is filling and delicious.
Ingredients
1 c. cut-up celery cooked in chicken broth
1 c. rice cooked in chicken broth
2 t. minced onion
Salt to taste
1 can cream of chicken soup
3/4 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. slivered almonds
Directions
Mix all ingredients together.
Cover with 1 cup cornflakes (crushed, not rolled) and 4 tablespoons melted margarine drizzled over cornflakes.
Bake at 350° about 30 minutes.
