Aspic Recipe
Aspic tastes good. Aspic can be tried by pork lovers. Aspic can be prepared fast and easily.
Ingredients
4 Ibs pork shoulder
1 1/4 lbs pork hocks
2 large onions, sliced
1 leek, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp savory
1/4 tsp ground clove
2 tbsp cider vinegar
6 cups water
Salt and pepper
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
Directions
In a saucepan, combine all ingredients, except gelatin.
Bring to a boil.
Cover.
Over low heat, simmer 2-3 hours.
With a sieve, strain meat over a medium size saucepan.
Sprinkle cooking juices with gelatin.
Over low heat, dissolve gelatin.
Set aside.
Dice meat.
Place in a mold.
Cover with gelatin mixture.
Refrigerate 24 hours.
