Ingredients

 
1 1/2 pounds fresh asparagus spears greens
 
1 avocado
 
1 tablespoon each lemon juice and white wine vinegar
 
3 tablespoons salad or olive oil
 
1/2 teaspoon each salt and Dijon style mustard
 
1 teaspoon minced shallots
 
2 teaspoons chopped capers
 
2 strips crumbled cooked bacon

Directions

Cook asparagus in boiling salted water until crisp tender; cool and chill.
Arrange greens on a serving platter and top with bundles of asparagus.
Peel and slice avocado very thinly and arrange on top.
Mix together the lemon juice, vinegar, oil, salt, mustard, shallots, and capers.
Spoon over salad and sprinkle with bacon.
