Asparagus Tips Monte Carlo (hors d'oeuvre) Recipe

Ingredients
Frozen asparagus tips – 1 package (12-ounce), defrosted
American cheese - 1/3 cup, grated
Cooked tongue - 15 to 18 slices
Butter or margarine - 3 tablespoons
Lemon – 1, cut in wedges
Directions
MAKING
1) Take a pan and cook asparagus tips in it until almost tender.
2) Drain and roll the tips in grated cheese.
3) Cut meat in even slices and roll around the tips.
4) Secure with toothpicks.
5) Cover with wax paper and store in the refrigerator until chafing time.
6) Take a blazer pan and heat butter in it.
7) Add the asparagus rolls and sauté until thoroughly heated through and brown in color, turning only once.
SERVING
8) Sprinkle with lemon juice and keep hot over water pan.
