Ingredients

 
Fresh asparagus - 2 to 3 lb.
 
Salad oil
 
Salt - 1/2 tsp.
 
Monosodium glutamate - 1/2 tsp.
 
Pepper to taste
 
Slivered almonds - 1/4 c.

Directions

MAKING
1) Diagonally cut the asparagus into thin 1 1/2-inch long slices.
2) In a skillet heat oil and add in the asparagus.
3) Add in the salt, monosodium glutamate, pepper, and almonds.
4) Place a lid and gently cook for 4 to 5 minutes, till tender. Shake the pan regularly to loosen if sticking.

SERVING
5) Garnish with few almonds and serve.
