Asparagus with Mustard Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Asparagus spears | 1/2 pound | |
| 1 1/2 tablespoons 30%-less-fat sour cream (such as Breakstone) | ||
| 1 tablespoon fat-free mayonnaise | ||
| Prepared mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Hot Sauce | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Dash of paprika | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. Snap the tough ends of the asparagus off, remove the scales with a vegetable peeler too, if needed
2. Steam this asparagus for four minutes or so, covered, until crisp-tender
3. In a bowl, combine sour cream, mayo, mustard, hot sauce and lemon juice
4. Heat this mixture it the microwave for half a minute or less
SERVING
5. Divide the asparagus between the two plates and top with the sour cream mixture
6. Sprinkle some paprika on top and serve
