Perfect Asparagus Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb. fresh asparagus
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
1 tsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp La Choy soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp cornstarch
Directions
Wash asparagus and break off and discard the woody parts.
Place spears on cutting board and slice diagonally into thin slices.
Clean and slice mushrooms.
Melt butter in a skillet; add asparagus and mushrooms.
Stir to coat.
Add salt and soy sauce; cook, stirring, for 4 minutes.
Combine water and cornstarch in bowl or shaker jar.
Blend completely.
Add to asparagus.
Cook until cornstarch mixture clears and slightly thickens.
